Thanks for being interested in my baking exploits. I hope you’ll find something here to tickle your taste buds or inspire you to engineer your own creations.

5 years ago, pretty much to the day, I was making my first ‘serious’ celebration cake (as serious as an 8 inch tall minion-shaped cake can be anyway). 5 years, dozens of bakes and a few catastrophes later, it feels like a good time to share what I get up to in my Engineer’s Bakery.

I bake to put a smile on people’s faces. I like the challenge of a complicated cake (remember when anti-gravity cakes were the height of fashion?!), but mostly I just like to see the happy faces of my friends and family when they see their cake for the first time.

I hope to share here some baking ideas, the tricks I’ve learned (through trial and plenty of error), and maybe a recipe or two.
